The Carolinas are known to have various art museums for its residents and visitors. One of the most popular museums in North Carolina is called The North Carolina Museum of Art. The North Carolina Museum of Art is an art museum that was established in 1947. This museum is located in the city of Raleigh (2110 Blue Ridge Road). The museum features sculpture and paintings, which represent six thousand years of artistic dedicated work from antiquity to the present.The North Carolina Museum Of Art offers more than forty galleries and dozens of artwork. This museum has available a permanent collection that includes the following: Egyptian funerary art, European paintings from the renaissance, American art from the 18th century and 20th century, vase painting and sculptures from ancient Greece and Rome, international contemporary art, Jewish ceremonial objects, etc.

The South Carolina Museum of Art also known as Columbia Museum of Art is a very popular museum found in this state. The Columbia Museum of Art is located in the city of Columbia. This museum offers its visitors a collection of American and European fine and decorative artworks. The museum also has a baroque and renaissance collection and a large nativity fresco that was transferred to canvas. The Columbia Museum of Art was just to be an urban department store that was transformed into the museum that is today.
